International Society for Krishna Consciousness of WA (Vedic Cultural Center)(“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the VCC Services web and mobile applications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We do not receive or store your password.
Profile information
You may optionally provide additional details — such as a phone number, address, or family member names — through your profile. This information is only used to support app features and is never required.
Activity data
We record actions you take within the app, such as signing up for volunteer opportunities, enrolling in classes or batches, and registering interest in events. This is used to manage your participation and for staff coordination.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and keep your session secure
- To display your profile and activity within the app to you and authorized staff
- To send you notifications about events or opportunities you have expressed interest in
- To coordinate volunteer scheduling and class enrollment
- To improve the app based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or any financial information through the app. We do not track your location. We do not serve advertising.
How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your data is stored in a secured database. Authentication tokens on the mobile app are kept in the device’s encrypted secure storage and are not accessible to other apps.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will remove it within a reasonable time.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information may be visible to authorized staff and volunteers within International Society for Krishna Consciousness of WA (Vedic Cultural Center) for coordination purposes. We will disclose information if required by law.
Third-Party Sign-In Providers
Sign-in is handled by Google and Microsoft. When you use these services, their own privacy policies also apply. We only retain the basic profile information they provide at sign-in.
Your Rights
- Access:You can view and edit the profile information you’ve provided at any time through the app.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Opt-out:You can disable email notifications in the app’s settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
